Massive Hailstones and Extensive Impact

Homeowners witnessed giant hailstones as large as seven centimeters in particular locations. Meteorological experts verified that multiple regions across the state had been affected by significant hail.

At one point on Sunday, more than 28k power users in Victoria were without power.

Humid circumstances were expected to linger along significant areas of Queensland's east this coming days as a low-pressure trough continued to pull in damp air against the coastal areas.

The following day was expected to become the heaviest precipitation period, with continued thunderstorm potential predicted across multiple regions of both areas.

Safety Concern

Public health experts alerted that there was an increased chance of epidemic thunderstorm asthma across the countryside regions, specifically given the existing atmospheric conditions.
